Yesterday a catalogue came out with the latest Monica McInerney book just released. To say I was excited is understating the joy I felt knowing I have another book to read by this amazing author.
Mum and I loved reading Maeve Binchy, Marian Keyes and Monica McInerney.
These women have a way of drawing the reader in to their stories, captivating you for hours on end. As I read I want more and as I come to the end I want the story to go on forever.
Their books include descriptions like "utterly compelling","warm hearted", "big hearted", "comfort food", "guaranteed to please", "funny and poignant story", "comfort reading", "compassionate humour", "laughter, tears and heart", Each and every one of these descriptions resonate with me.
Are you hooked yet?
Maeve Binchy died a year after my mother. I can imagine Maeve and mum chatting in the clouds and writing their own versions of life after death. There would be love, laughter and tears as they share their messages for anyone who is open to the magic they experienced in life and the magnificence of their journey into the destination unknown.
As my journey continues since my mum's death I am grateful for these connections which keep me close to her.
What connections do you have that keep you close to your loved ones?
